Job Description
Role Summary:
At Smartech we build large-scale Martech and Adtech systems that process high-volume real-time traffic and data.
We’re looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex backend and distributed systems challenges and wants to work on products used at scale.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs
- Build and optimize real-time data pipelines and stream-processing systems
- Work with distributed systems handling high-throughput traffic and data
- Improve system reliability, observability, and performance
- Collaborate closely with Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices
Requirements:
- ۴+ years of backend development experience
- Strong coding skills in Python or Go
- Experience with Kafka, Redis, and asynchronous/event-driven architectures
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, or ScyllaDB
- Good understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience in Adtech, Martech, Fintech, or high-scale internet products
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices
- Exposure to ML/AI-powered systems
