Job Description
WallGold is building the infrastructure for gold-powered finance — transforming gold from a passive store of value into a dynamic financial ecosystem for banks, fintechs, retailers, and other businesses.
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Data & Insights team and work closely with the WallGold Business organization.
In this role, you will play a key part in strategic and operational decision-making across trading, pricing, liquidity, capital, partner performance, and financial operations. You will work at the intersection of data, finance, and business operations to create the visibility and analytical capabilities required to scale WallGold Business.
This is not a pure reporting role. You will be expected to investigate complex business problems, build analytical frameworks, identify opportunities and risks, and turn data into actionable decisions for business and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain dashboards, monitoring systems, and analytical tools that provide visibility into the performance of WallGold Business.
- Collaborate closely with Business, Product, Trading, Finance, Treasury, and Operations teams to define, measure, and continuously monitor business performance.
- Analyze key financial and commercial metrics including GMV, revenue, margins, costs, P&L, liquidity, capital utilization, and partner economics.
- Analyze trading activity, pricing performance, spreads, transaction volumes, settlement performance, and operational efficiency to identify opportunities and bottlenecks.
- Build analytical frameworks for understanding partner performance, customer behavior, product adoption, and business growth.
- Analyze liquidity, exposure, risk, inventory, and capital utilization across trading and financial operations, identifying vulnerabilities and opportunities for optimization.
- Support Business Development and Account Management teams with data-driven insights into partner performance, economics, usage patterns, and growth opportunities.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to define the data requirements, metrics, and analytical infrastructure needed to build scalable B۲B financial products.
- Develop monitoring and alerting frameworks that help teams identify anomalies, operational issues, financial risks, and unexpected changes in business performance.
- Investigate complex, cross-functional problems that span financial performance, trading activity, operations, technology, and partner behavior.
- Work with the Data Engineering team to improve data availability, reliability, modeling, and analytical workflows.
- Translate complex datasets and analytical findings into clear recommendations that can influence product, commercial, operational, and strategic decisions.
- Contribute to building a data-driven culture within WallGold Business by improving metric definitions, analytical standards, and decision-making frameworks.
Requirements
- ۳+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a closely related analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Metabase, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to investigate ambiguous business problems independently.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, data modeling, data cleaning, and data management best practices.
- Strong understanding of financial and business analytics, including GMV, revenue, P&L, cash flows, margins, costs, liquidity, and financial exposure.
- Experience analyzing transactional, marketplace, fintech, trading, or other operationally intensive datasets.
- Ability to work with complex data models and write efficient, reliable analytical queries.
- Strong ability to communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Trading, and Business teams.
- Flexibility in learning and applying new tools, technologies, and analytical approaches based on evolving business needs.
- Strong familiarity with the fintech ecosystem and financial products.
- Curiosity, initiative, and an ownership mindset — this is not just an execution or reporting role. You are expected to identify important questions, investigate them, and help the organization make better decisions.
